Before Rain Wedge went into production, it was tested in the toughest of conditions: Seattle weather! A focus group of golfers, both male and female, used Rain Wedge over a six week period under all types of inclement weather.
Rain Wedge received its US patent on October 24, 2006. Patent number: US 7,124,888 B1.
PGA Tour Partners Club Tested and Approved
The PGA Tour Partners Club is a 500,000+ membership club sanctioned by the PGA consisting of avid golfers throughout the United States and Canada. 165 members of the PGA Tour Partner product testing group tested the Rain Wedge over a three month period and gave it an extremely high approval rating.
To be approved by the PGA Tour Partners Club, a product must score a minimum of 66% approval rating by the testing group. Rain Wedge scored an 86% approval rating as a product that the test group would either use or recommend to a fellow PGA Tour Partners member! The rating system for the PGA Tour Partners Magazine and website is based on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being excellent. The Rain Wedge received a rating of 8.0.
This focus group represented all levels of golfers, from beginners to avid golfers. Age range
for the men was between 30’s - 50’s years, while women participants were between the 30’s - 40’s age range. After the six week test ALL participants gave Rain Wedge high marks for ease of use, functionality and versatility.
